Recently, some major accomplishments have been made in 'getting the word out' about A.A. and recovery. The following is a short list:
In November 2005, our committee left A.A. Big Books, Twelve Steps & Twelve Traditions Books, Living Sober Books and AA meeting schedules at all County Libraries, City Halls, Visitor Centers and at some Police Stations, Bed & Breakfasts and Motels in the county. The county to date includes Sierra Vista, Douglas, Bisbee, Elfrida, Tombstone, Huachuca City, Sunsites and Benson. Meeting schedules are also present at Central Office in Tucson.
AA Public Service Announcements for the radio and an announcement on Channel 3 TV in Bisbee are being run now and throughout the Spring and Summer of 2006.
The committee will also maintain a booth at the Health Fair at Bisbee's Farmer's Market in the summer of 2006.
In the Fall of 2006, the committee will begin making AA Presentations at Middle Schools and High Schools in the county and also Presentations to adults at various facilities.
